DESCRIPTION:Join certified forest therapy guide Christine D’Esposito for a series of forest bathing hikes this summer and fall. \n \n \n Based on the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, forest bathing invites participants to engage all five senses while mindfully observing the details of the forest around you. This practice has been shown to help lower stress, improve mental clarity, boost the immune system, and enhance your mood. These single day (2hr) sessions will give you a chance to explore a deeper connection to the forests of Hartley Park while enjoying the benefits that time in nature can provide. \n \n \n Christine (she/her) is a certified Forest Therapy Guide, full-spectrum doula, educator, and mentor with over twenty years of experience supporting people through life’s thresholds. Her work is rooted in a deep reverence for the natural world, rites of passage, and the healing power of presence. \n \n \n As a guide, Christine creates spaces for slow, sensory connection, inviting participants to attune to themselves, the land, and the more-than-human world. Her approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, somatic awareness, and experiential learning, shaped by her extensive background in birth work and facilitation. \n \n \n She brings a unique blend of grounded presence, playfulness, and deep life experience, guiding others with curiosity, humility, and a trust in the wisdom of both people and the natural world. \n
