Part adventure race, part scavenger hunt, the Hartley Adventure Challenge is a fun race that will have teams of hikers or bikers race to solve clues and find hidden checkpoints along the trails of Hartley Park. Complete the challenge by finding as many checkpoints as you can before time runs out. Teams that find the most checkpoints in the shortest amount of time will be declared the winners. Prizes will be awarded to winning teams in each category. Teams that finish all checkpoints will also receive a small award. Whether your goal is to be competitive or just spend some time outdoors, you’re bound to have a great day exploring some of our favorite locations in Hartley Park.

*Children under 12 years of age will not count towards your team limit, but will still be required to have a waiver signed by their parent or legal guardian.
PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED
Team Registration: Teams should select a “team captain” who must preregister the team online. Each team can consist of 3-5 members, but you do not need to have your team members listed at the time of registration. Team members can be added to your team on race day.
Team Check-In: Team check in begins at 9am on race day. All teams will be required to check in with race organizers before the race begins. All members must be present at check-in in order to fill out waivers. Team members without a waiver, will not be able to participate. If they do participate, it will result in team disqualification.
“Passports” (clue list) will be given to all registered teams approx. 5 minutes before the race starts, so everyone has the same amount of time to solve the clues and complete the course. Teams will not be given their “passport” (clue list) unless all team members have checked in and signed a waiver.
Teams must stay together for the entire race. Splitting up is strictly prohibited and may result in team disqualification.
